And the Winners are …

Last week, we were thrilled to host a ceremony for our annual employee awards at our 45th year in business anniversary celebration.

Hosted by our COO, Darren Allsopp, the awards were held to recognise employees at Miller who have exceeded expectations and shown tremendous commitment to the business.

With seven categories, focussed on Miller’s core values, the following awards were presented to:

QUALITY AWARD – Lee Sutherland

As our HSE Engineer, Lee has shown outstanding commitment to ensuring a safe working environment at Miller. Increasing communication across the shop floor, Lee consistently ensures Miller maintains, and, in most cases, exceeds all safety standards.


Sean, Supervisor at our Site Solutions division, was recognised for continually going above and beyond to complete a repair, safely and correctly, ensuring that our customers are always happy. He always remains enthusiastic and is happy to help out wherever needed and whatever location that may take him.

QUALITY AWARD – Ricky Martin

Our Field Service Engineer, Ricky always puts in extra effort to ensure everything he does is to the highest standard. This includes sales installations consisting of hydraulic and electrical work as well as warranty and site repair work. This is very much mentioned by customers on a regular basis, as well as staff internally.

TEAMWORK AWARD – Customer Service Team

Being at the very forefront of communication with our customers, the Customer Service team always receives very positive feedback from many customers and regularly showcase excellent teamwork and work winning attitudes.


First Year – Liam Johnson

As our Business Administration Apprentice, Liam has demonstrated a great willingness to learn and possesses real enthusiasm for the role. Integral to the team, Liam Is quickly progressing and has a great career ahead of him.

Overall Apprentice of the Year – Dan Young

Well respected on the shopfloor, Metal Fabricator Dan, who Is completing his Level 3, has demonstrated an excellent attitude and commitment to Miller, continually bringing new ideas to the team. Dan has also been highly praised and recognised for his abilities and can-do attitude by our training partner, TDR.

ABOVE AND BEYOND – Lucy Ross-Knight

Our Marketing Executive Lucy, oozes enthusiasm and very much echo’s Miller’s core values in everything she does. Lucy always brings bright Ideas to the table and has the abilities to execute these to the very highest standards. An asset to Miller, Lucy is a key driver in promoting Better Health at Work and raising money for our chosen charities each year.

SPIRIT OF MILLER AWARD – Katrina Norman and Anne Handy

It was too difficult to choose just one person who embodies Miller’s culture. Everyone in the business, our customers and suppliers will all recognise both our Receptionist, Katrina and Customer Services and Aftersales Manager, Anne’s genuine passion and enthusiasm to be fantastic brand ambassadors at Miller. They certainly manage to put smiles on everyone’s face and go out of their way to ensure everything they do is the very best it can be.
