After an enforced break due to Covid-19 ScotPlant was back with a bang last weekend at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh and against all odds, the weather in Edinburgh was glorious highlighting the sea of Miller red that flooded machines across the exhibition.
Miller showcased several new products, with the highlight for many customers new and old being the live demonstration of the GTT their new range of hydraulic tilting couplers suitable for compact machines. This product completes the GT series family as the ‘GTT’ and works in synergy with Miller’s compact bucket offering.
Miller also took the opportunity to launch their latest high-capacity heavy duty range of Buckets the Miller Universal 8 – A new line of abrasion resistant heavy-duty buckets delivering the strongest and most durable construction in its class with a universal head plate to allow for a greater fleet and machine application flexibility. Evolved from extensive market benchmarking the Miller Universal-8 model is structurally stronger and more robust in all classes from 13T to 50T construction bucket ranges. Over 15 elements of the bucket and weld specification have been upgraded. Customers who visited the Miller stand were impressed by the upgrades to the bucket specifications and recognized that the new high-capacity heavy duty buckets are perfect to ensure the arduous needs of the modern construction and excavation site are exceeded.
A viral sensation
During the show, Miller created a stir with the demonstration of their GTT coupler both at the exhibition but also around the world, with thousands of people viewing it in action on the Miller TikTok page during the event. It was the unique tilting coupler with its 90˙ left and right tilt function which enhances the performance of attachments, therefore, significantly reducing operating times, sparking the interest of many owners and operators who came to watch.
James Ross, Commercial Director at Miller Groundbreaking, revealed “Miller has always considered Scotland as a huge market that we must take full advantage of, it’s great to see that so many of the plant hire companies and end-users are using Miller attachments. Exhibitions have always been worthwhile in my eyes; it’s allowed us the chance to reconnect with people we haven’t seen due to the pandemic and it’s a great opportunity for all of team Miller to share our excitement about our new product launches with the attendees of Scotplant”.
