Fairfax Plant Hire, the largest independent plant hire company across Yorkshire, the North of England, and the North Midlands, recently purchased 46 of Miller’s newly launched Ready to Dig Bundles.
With 40 years of expertise and locations in Selby, Hull and Leeds, Fairfax Plant Hire – which has specified Miller attachments for over 20 years – supplies plant equipment suited to a wide range of applications. In anticipation of increased demand, Fairfax Plant Hire was quick to specify Miller’s Ready to Dig Bundles – which were delivered to site within two weeks from the order – when it came to choosing optimal machine performance for its new 5t CAT and Kubota machines.
Purposefully packed based on market feedback, the Ready to Dig Bundles include three essential buckets commonly used together – a ditch cleaning bucket, a trench bucket, and a digging bucket – along with a GT Series quick coupler. Designed for machines ranging from 1 to 20t, these bundles are cost-effective – offering savings of up to 20% when bought as a set – easy to store, and available for quick delivery.
Most recently the company has now chosen to make the switch to the GTS quick coupler – having previously been a big fan of Miller’s Powerlatch- which is included in the Ready to Dig Bundle. This decision was based on a few reasons including, and to name a few:
- Maximum Safety: Fully compliant with global ISO13031/AS13031 standards, the GTS coupler features twin-locking mechanisms and maintenance-free components, allowing safe, efficient attachment changes from within the cab.
- High-Quality Performance: The GTS transforms excavators into versatile multi-tool carriers, compatible with a wide range of OEM attachments to maximise fleet flexibility enabling operators to handle a broader range of tasks.
- Fuel Efficiency: Manufactured with superior performance in mind, the GTS’s lightweight design, combined with Miller’s high-tensile, heat-treated steel, reduces engine load, optimises fuel efficiency and performance for your machines.

Mark Love, Director at Fairfax commented, “Safety is critical when choosing Miller quick couplers, as is efficiency. We aim to help our customers maximise machine performance on-site by ensuring they select the right attachments for each job, boosting productivity and improving cycle times, resulting in significant daily time and cost savings.”
